8.0m Outboard Performance RIB tender
On recommendation by the captain of one of the other X-Craft clients, the owners’ representative for an 88m yacht approached X-Craft with an interesting inquiry. The brief was to build a versatile outboard engine tender that could be used as a crew/work tender, but also as a performance based owners’ tenders with an A-Frame for water sports. Next to that the tender should be storable in the mother vessels’ tender garage with the limited available height in there. X-Craft developed and built a hingeable A-Frame in-house that was strong enough to use for water sports, but also enabled the tender to fit in the garage. To transport large provisions such as 1000 litres of fuel or other large shipments, X-Craft made a removable bench on the aft deck. Thus creating either a comfortable seating area or a large open deck space where custom flush mounted tie down eyes had been installed to fasten the provisions down.
